On August 25, 2017 Hurricane Harvey made landfall in the Texas Coastal Bend. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islanders are committed to help with the clean up and recovery efforts in our neighboring communities.  

If you would like to help with those efforts, the following organizations are accepting volunteers and donations.


Coastal Bend Blood Center: 
· What they need: Blood Donors, specifically Type O and Platelet Donors

Coastal Bend Community Foundation: 
· What they need: Donations 
· Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group established a fund with the Foundation to accept charitable donations and distribute recovery grants for the benefit of our seven county region (Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, and San Patricio) in the event of such a natural disaster. You may donate directly to this recovery effort by clicking HERE.

Coastal Bend Food Bank: 
· What they need: Volunteers to help clean up and repackage food

Coastal Bend Volunteer Connection:

Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi:

· How: Need of volunteers to help sort through donations to provide to  community members in need. Their warehouse is located at 615 Oliver Ct., Corpus Christi. Their hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, click here.
